Chinese New Year (Day 2)

For a glamourous event, many Hong Kongers choose to watch the New Year Fireworks Display.

The 30 minutes show will serve a good memory.

As provided by discoverhongkong.com:

... MEGA EVENT SERIES

You'll cheer with delight at the amazing fireworks display ushering in the Year of the Dog. It's an awesome part of the New Year celebrations, scaring away demons to ensure good luck. The spectacular backdrop of city lights, harbour and surrounding mountains make this event special. More than 500,000 people watch the fireworks live and millions more watch it on TV. So, head to the harbour, get a harbour-view hotel room, or take a harbour cruise to catch the spectacle of a lifetime!

Date : Monday 30 January
Time : 8pm
Venue : Victoria Harbour between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui
Admission : Free
Note: Roads will be closed. Please pay attention to government announcements.

I would suggest you to go to the Peak and find a nice spot in a fine restaurant 2-3 hours before the show.

That would be the best arrangement.

Five million Hong Kong dollars is blasted above Victoria harbor every year. Hong Kong is really a blessed land.
