February 25, 2006 23:07 - Convenient City

What happens if your watch runs out of battery?

If you live in the States, you would have to drive 10-20 minutes to a nearby mall, find a jewellery shop and ask a specialist to open up the timepiece and replace the battery for you.

I am not sure how much that costs.

timepiece repairman

In Hong Kong, you just have to look around in districts like, Mong Kok or Yau Ma Tei for an experienced repairman who would kindly repairs/ replaces the battery for you at a reasonable price. HKD15 at most, equivalent to USD2.

Hong Kong is really a convenient and low-cost* city, agree?

* Housing/ rental expense excluded.
