All About Hong Kong

Home : UnReal HK Diary : January 2006 : 2006-01-31

January 31, 2006 02:38 - Busiest, and yet the fewest red pockets for years

This is a pretty weird year; I was at my friend's house fixing his computer at 6:00 am on the Chinese New Year's Day and spent the rest of the day sleeping at home.

On Day 2, I was throwing away stuff, organizing my new computer and consumed the whole day, sitting in front of my desk...

Today is already Day 3 of the Chinese New Year (CNY), I have only received four red pockets, the least number for years.

If the number of red pockets received during the CNY reflects one's luck in the coming year, then I will probably be beaten up by this Dog - the Year of Dog.

Well, as a Christian, I don't buy this. It's nice to have some easy money though. ;)

Oh,... red pockets, please come rolling in!

January 31, 2006 17:08 - Natural-born opportunist

A teenager messaged me and asked me why I've decided to write up a site about Hong Kong.

"For the love of photography and love of Hong Kong," said I.

"You don't have to write a site about Hong Kong, coz' it's the responsibility of Hong Kong government," he commented. "Instead, you can sell pictures of Hong Kong girls to earn money."

Insightful.

Hong Kongers are natural-born opportunists.
