January 14, 2006 01:13 - Chinese New Year Day

What should you do on the Chinese New Year Day? Consider what the agenda suggested.

Date : Sunday 29 January, Chinese New Year's Day

Time : 8pm - 9:30pm (Live telecasts on TVB Jade channel and DiscoverHongKong.com); Spectator stands open at 7pm (for ticket holders only)

Parade Route : Starting at the Tamar site in Admiralty on Hong Kong Island, Tim Mei Avenue, Harcourt Road, Performing Arts Avenue, Fenwick Pier Street, Harbour Road,
Fleming Road, Convention Avenue, Expo Drive and ends at Expo Drive Central

Admission : Tamar site spectator stands ticket HK$200 each; free viewing along the parade route

Tickets : Available at the HKTB's Visitor Information & Services Centres

Chinese New Year Day - travelling

. Admiralty MTR Exits E1 or E2, walk along pedestrian bridge leading to CITIC Tower and then to venue.

. "Star" Ferry from either Tsim Sha Tsui or Hung Hom to Central, walk along waterfront past Edinburgh Place and then along Lung Wui Road to venue.

Transport to parade route in Wan Chai

. Wan Chai MTR Exit A5 to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), walk along pedestrian bridge leading to Immigration Tower, through Central Plaza, and then to parade route at street level.

. "Star" Ferry from either Tsim Sha Tsui or Hung Hom to Wan Chai Ferry Pier then walk towards HKCEC.

* Roads will be closed about two hours before and after the parade.
