Taxi In Queue

Taken In Ning Po Street, near Nathan Road

I've lived in Canada/ USA for quite a while, and if you don't have a car, your activities are limited. You either have to take a free ride from your friend or you just have to call a "cab" (which is a term seldom used here in Hong Kong.) In Hong Kong, however, you NEVER have to worry about transportation as it is extremely easy to ride on a taxi. You don't have to call. The starting fee for hiring a taxi is HK$15 (USD2), and you just have to round up to the dollar when arrived. No need to tip extra.

Tip: Do you see the green sign at the top left-hand corner?

That's the sign for a vegetarian restaurant which offers great veggie dishes.

Operated by some buddahists, the restaurant is open to everyone. I highly recommend a dish called "Curry Seafood Rice". Don't be fooled by its name. It's really *all* veg.

The restaurant is on Ning Po Street near Wing On Department Store and is 3 minutes walk from Jordan MTR station.
