I was so busy during the past few weeks and I had to arrange my body-check on the 24th (The Christmas Eve). The body check cost me HKD950, which was in fact quite cheap, when considering the tests performed.
It was a complete busy 2 hours session which included a detailed health questionaire (4 pages and 1 last page with a different color sheet, which says "skippable"), general height and weight measurement, blood test and pressure test, and a two doctors' 1 on 1 session which answered specific health questions.
I was quite at my peak during the body check session until I had the last test - lung x-ray test. I was asked to put my bare chest and tummy against a freezing cold iron plate. Yesterday was freezing cold and there was no heat in the room...
I was so glad the nurse did not ask me to do the same thing on my back ... then for sure, I would be sick writing this entry.
I believe the clinic (I am not too sure how to call this) must offer good services. If not, I can't imagine why 20-some people would crowd the clinic on a Christmas holiday and waiting to be cold-plated!
Also, if their business is not really that good, I wouldn't be told that I have to wait until Feb 4, 2006 in order to get my health report. By then, I might have caught H5N1 (The Avian's Flu) :)
Here is the link if you are a Hong Konger, and interested (and not mind) to get a (belated) health report.
You have to book your appointment early especially if you are a 9-to-5 employee, who may only be free on the weekends.
The place I went was: Jordan Community Health Centre
