October 24, 2005 20:48 - "Si" "Tor"

Traditional Store

This traditional corner store is called "Si" "Tore" in Cantonese, the direct English translation of the word "Store".

Many convenience stores (e.g. 7-eleven) are now replacing these stores' existence. When I was small, there were no 7-eleven's, and all we had were these little old corner stores.
