According to a recent research, over 200,000 pets are residing in Hong Kong families, each of which is spending $500-1000 per month.

An interview has revealed the current view on child-bearing.
The couple, being interviewed, prefers to host 13 cats than to bear their own child. "The obligation of feeding 13 cats is comparatively less stressful than raising a child", says the couple.
This causes a lot of controversies amongst the crtics and columnists in our media.
The government forecast reveals that Hong Kong will have 30% of population older than the age of 65, in the year 2035. Thus, Hong Kong is being financially burdened by the ageing population.
(Note: Now, Hong Kong has the lowest birth rate in the world. 0.91, ie. only 91 babies in 100 families.)
To me, there is nothing wrong for a family not bearing a child.
There is just no point for the married, or even the unmarried to give birth, out of ignorance.
Child-bearing should be more than an unplanned accident. If you are not committed, why bring another life to this world? I understand, though, most human actions are emotional rather than logical.
Although I don't like to listen, my dad always comments, "Father Bears Me Not Because For Me; But Out Of Some Lustful Desires."
I don't want to admit it, but it is a true yet different perspective on life.

Nevertheless, this city does not need another strayed being.
I was going back to the office, when I saw several policemen directing the traffic at the intersection, in the midst of a crowd.
Then my attention was drawn to a middle-aged woman lying in the center of a double lane treet near a motorcycle. Occasionally, she rolled back and forth with difficulties, and she was in deep agony, to me.
My heart was burdened. I immediately prayed and hope that an ambulance would come, so that she might get to the hospital soon.
When crossing the street, suddenly, I heard someone in the crowd whispering rudelessly, "She is fine,... see, she is still moving." I was shocked to hear that, not because what she said, but the way she said it.
Some Hong Kongers are really merciless.
