The day finally came and I am glad that I could attend his wedding last night.
What am I talking about?
Here to find out
I was really tired and could barely socialize with my relatives at the banquet. I managed to take some photos though.
The feast took place in one of the most remarkable hotels in Hong Kong.
Western music, cakes, marriage hall with Chinese backdrop exemplified typical Hong Kong culture where the East meets the West.
Close and Distant
I had some weird feeling as old photos were being presented during the banquet.
My cousin and I are more or less of the same age, but we seldomly meet each other except annual meetings like Chinese New Year.
Hong Kong is a small place and yet you don't get to see each other much, even you are related under the same family tree.
The Red Bomb
How much should a Chinese Red Bomb worth?
Well, it differs, but generally it ranges from $500 - $1000.
I acted as the treasurer for one of my friend's wedding.
When I counted the Red Bomb, I noted a check with an amount of $1,314.
1314 has a close verbal meaning "for a life time" in Cantonese.
That's sweet.
Note: $1,314 is roughly less than US$200.
My Wishes
"A life without love is no life at all"
All the best to you, Laurence!
