All About Hong Kong

Home : UnReal HK Diary : August 2005 : 2005-08-18

August 18, 2005 14:30 - Poisonous eel

Headline News: Eels from china are contaminated by poisionous chemicals in an extensive manner. It's believed those chemicals would cause cancer if consumed. Her citizens consuming more than 60% eels from China, Japan immediately banned all eel imports from China. Supermarkets in Hong Kong remove all eel-related food.

I felt sick when I heard the news - I had "Eel with vegetable rice" in a Shanghai restaurant on Monday.

Yek!
