Unique Hong Kong culture...
Hong Kong has its own voice. It's subtle.
TVB's show "My Bitchy Mother-in-law" explicits this fully. The fictitious story took place in ancient China.
What I like most is the theme song which mixes Chinese proverb and being sung in colloquial Cantonese. Wait! Part of the song was being rapped!
An ancient Chinese story whose theme song rapped in a western manner, weird?
The beginning of the song "Ka Wu Man Si Hing, Ka Chue Hao But Ting..." did get my attention the first time I heard it. It's a common proverb for the Chinese, but sung out in a rapping manner? Nah... I bet not many overseas Chinese would have that idea, too.
It's really exceptional.
